About our Brand

Hey there!

My name is Emily and I am the creator and owner of Mom Approved Clothing Company. I am a tattoo artist based in Missoula, Montana. After working in the tattoo industry for a few years I found myself looking for ways to expand my business, and to make tattoo art more accessible. I've always been interested in fashion, and its always been a dream of mine to design a clothing line. When I was contemplating ways to step out of the tattoo world and try something new, I saw my opportunity to combine my love for fashion with my love for American Traditional Tattooing. And so, Mom Approved Clothing was born!

The idea is that those of you out there who love the American Traditional style, but prefer different styles for your own tattoos can still rock some cool designs without the lifelong commitment. And for those of us who do have American Traditional tattoos, we can sport the look even when we're not showing skin. 

Now, you may be asking yourself... why Mom Approved? Well, I've long since joked that my tattoos are 100% Mom Approved. I tattoo a lot of moms, many of my clients bring their moms to their appointments, and my own mom is my #1 supporter. So what better way to describe my brand? If you have doubts, order a product and ask your mom what she thinks. ;)

Each of our designs are hand drawn first, then digitized. Designs are uploaded onto made-to-order products and mailed directly to you, the customer! Doing our production this way allows us to grow, and prevents us from having excess product and waste. Our dream is to have our very own store front here in Missoula one day! In the meantime, we are deeply grateful to each of our customers for helping our brand grow.
